The Oakland Raiders and the Green Bay Packers have officially touched down in Manitoba as they prepare to play the first ever NFL game in Winnipeg.
Looking to get into the spirit of playing in Canada a few members of the Raiders rocked some Winnipeg-related shirts for their flight, only one of them didn’t end up doing his research before purchasing his shirt.
Daniel Carlson went the safe way and rocked an official Winnipeg Jets T-shirt, while AJ Cole went with something more generic. However, he probably should have followed in his teammate’s footsteps because wherever he bought his shirt from had quite the brutal error printed on it.
Yes, his shirt reads’ Winnipeg, Alberta’. Don’t worry, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were quick to react to this and took a friendly jab in their response.
All jokes aside, the Bombers, in true Canadian fashion, responded to their own tweet and pretty much apologized without actually saying ‘sorry’.
It’s not the end of the world, though, as both Carlson and Cole had some fun with the whole thing, too.
Just because it’s on a T-shirt it doesn’t mean it’s accurate.
