The Nashville Predators made a big announcement ahead of Game 1 against the Colorado Avalanche as they revealed that they were adding a catfish aquarium inside Bridgestone Arena for the team’s playoff run and plan on filling it with four catfish.
On Wednesday afternoon the Preds added the first catfish to the aquarium and opened up the voting to fans to figure out a name for it.
By Thursday afternoon they had the name figured out and they rolled with Gill.
The team also revealed the name of the second catfish that they plan on adding to the aquarium ahead of puck drop before Game 1 will be named Ben, in remembrance of big time Predators fan “Big Ben” Butzbach, who passed away earlier this season.
As for the remaining two catfish, the Predators are asking fans to vote on the final two names, but haven’t revealed when they’ll be added to the aquarium.
