We’ve seen a lot of unusual and creative theme nights hosted throughout sports over the years, but one of the theme nights the Potomac Nationals has in store for their fans this season might take the cake for the most random theme night of all-time.
This upcoming Friday, the Washington Nationals’ Class A Advanced affiliate will host the Lynchburg Hillcats, the Cleveland Indians’ Class A Advanced affiliate, in a game that will be remembered by the fans for a very long time due to the unusual theme that the night will hold.
You read that correctly. The Nationals will host a Salute to Jorts Night at the ballpark on Friday night and are inviting fans to cut their jeans into jorts at the local Leg Liberation Station that will be set up for them on the main concourse, while the team also plans on showing some famous jorts on the jumbotron throughout the game.
We’re excited to see who is going to make the team’s famous jorts list, but we’re guessing Kenny Powers, Danny McBride’s character from Eastbound & Down, will be at the top of the list.
