It’s been more than 20 years since the final episode of Seinfeld aired on television, but the love for the show is still alive and well around the world.

Over the years we’ve seen Minor League Baseball teams pay tribute to the sitcom by hosting some sort of theme night in relation to the show. From Salute to Seinfeld Night to Summer of George Night, we’ve seen all sorts of Seinfeld-themed giveaways that have included Kenny Bania and George Costanza bobbleheads and now there’s another one to add to the ever-growing list.

On Friday night, the Washington Nationals’ Class A-Advanced affiliate Potomac Nationals hosted Cosmo Kramer Night for their game against the Frederick Keys and took to the field in jerseys inspired by one of Kramer’s shirts from the show.

Kramer’s classic lobster shirt made multiple appearances in the show and they were plenty of them out in full force at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge, Virginia, on Friday. On top of the awesome jerseys the Nationals wore, people legally named Cosmo, Kramer, Kessler, Newman, Babs, Sacamano, Hoffman, Morty or Frank Costanza were given free entry to the game and they weren’t the only ones. It didn’t end there, though. If the fans proved that they are unemployed, dressed like a department store Santa Claus, presented items that smell like the beach, are currently employed as a United States Mail Carrier or a proctologist, showed up in a New York Yankees Joe DiMaggio or Mickey Mantle jersey or shirt, or have a face that looks like an old catcher’s mitt also got into the game for free.

It wasn’t all fun and games for everyone. Anyone named Crazy Joe Davola or anyone who dressed up as a clown was denied entrance at the gates, as were anti-dentites, former Yankees player Joe Pepitone and former Entertainment Tonight co-anchor Mary Hart. While Michael Richards wasn’t able to show up for his special night, the team made sure Little Jerry Seinfeld was at least in attendance.

In-game activities on Friday night included a “reality tour” of the stadium, a thinly sliced deli meats eating contest, and the sale of autographed, game-worn lobster-print jerseys.
