The Philadelphia Flyers revealed their new mascot Gritty on Monday afternoon and he didn’t waste any time becoming the talk of the entire NHL.
From firing T-shirts at Flyers employees with a T-shirt gun to wiping out on the ice multiple times, to breaking the Internet with an end of the night tweet, the unusual looking mascot is quickly becoming a fan favourite around the league.
Following Tuesday afternoon’s practice, members of the Philadelphia Eagles got their first look at the Flyers’ new mascot and their reactions were fantastic.
Brandon Graham, Sidney Jones IV, Jordan Matthews, Ronald Darby, Shelton Gibson and team mascot, Swoop, all chimed in on the new mascot in town and all seemed pretty intrigued by Gritty.
It’s only a matter of time before they all become best friends.
