Petr Mrazek got off to one of the hottest starts in the league but he’s been out of action since the end of January due to a thumb injury.
However, Mrazek is nearing a return as he recently took part in practice with his teammates and is back to facing shots in full equipment.
When the time comes for Mrazek to return to the lineup he’ll be ready to go and he’ll have a fresh new mask ready for him, and it includes a couple of tributes to his favourite athletes.
Designed by David Gunnarsson, Mrazek’s new Carolina Hurricanes mask includes a shot of F1 driver Charles Leclerc on one side and a shot of Roger Federer on the other.
The rest of the mask is dedicated to the Hurricanes franchise and Raleigh, but it’s cool to see him give a few of his favourite athletes a shutout on his cage.
