In the age of social media, having the same name as a public figure can be quite a nuisance. Especially if that public figure continuously finds themselves in hot water.
Jon Jones, the MMA fighter, has been causing all sorts of problems online for Jon Jones, the not MMA fighter. Tuesday, the UFC confirmed that Jones, the MMA fighter, had failed a drug test at UFC 214, once again becoming embroiled in a performance enhancing drug scandal. Fans, fighters and media members alike tore into Jones on Twitter, but once again, a number of people were directing their vitriol at the wrong Jones.
As has become the tradition, Jon Jones, the not MMA fighter, playfully responded to those who had him confused with Jon Jones, the MMA fighter.
He may seem a little annoyed by the whole mix-up, but judging by the fact that he almost always responds and has never thought to simply change his Twitter handle, we think that Jon Jones, the not MMA fighter, really enjoys getting confused with Jon Jones, the MMA fighter.
