The Pittsburgh Penguins have a lot of experience winning in Washington, so they have been able to develop a couple of different traditions.

Some of them are more ruthless than others. One is one fan who knits at the games, but on the other end of the spectrum is where Penguins fans gather in Washington after a playoff win and chant things at Captials fans and basically anyone else in Washington.

The always great Capitals blog Russian Machine Never Breaks found a couple of videos from the steps of the National Portrait Gallery. They chanted “You can’t beat us”.

While it is most definitely a ruthless chirp after a pretty gut wrenching loss for Capitals fans, they’re not wrong. The Penguins really seem to have the Capitals number. They have played in the second round three times in the past 10 years and the Penguins have not only gone on to win each time, but also won the Stanley Cup each time.

Will history repeat itself...yet again? 🤔
