At the start of the hockey season, we came across an incredibly-talented pencil portrait artist by the name of Shannon Ross. Shannon is a noted Penguins fan and combines her talents with her love for the game by sketching out some incredible photos of some of the biggest names in the NHL.

We haven't heard from Shannon for a couple of months now, but we now know why: she was hard at work crafting up a sketch of Maple Leafs winger Mitch Marner, and her work is nothing short of exceptional.

According to Shannon, this sketch took her over 90 hours to complete.

Let's start with some of the early sketches.

Before we see the final product, here's a time lapse of the masterpiece coming to life.

And finally, after hours of meticulous efforts, the final product!

The reply from the Toronto Maple Leafs' Twitter account says it all.
