Paul Maurice has one of the more animated vocabularies in the NHL, and it’s looking like it might work out in his favour.
The remaining playoff teams have been documented for numerous web series throughout the playoffs, leading to the possibility of Maurice wearing a mic against the Vegas Golden Knights; an idea he doesn’t seem to be too fond of. However, the 51-year-old doesn’t believe much of his audio will be used due to his relatively inappropriate language on the bench.
To bluntly put it, Maurice has never been one to hold back. He’s been known to lose his cool on numerous occasions and has been captured on film doing it in the process.
The Jets head coach can find comfort in the fact that other coaches have already been caught losing it from the bench. Nashville Predators bench boss Peter Laviolette was captured criticizing Jets forward Mark Scheifele in a heated exchange with a referee in Game 5.
As things heat up between Maurice’s Jets and the Vegas Golden Knights, expect the head coach to inadvertently produce some golden moments for fans. That is unless he decides to throw his mic off in anger mid-game.
