A lot has been made about "The Code" in the NHL ever since Paul Byron of the Montreal Canadiens fought MacKenzie Weegar of the Florida Panthers.  Byron was suspended earlier in the season for a hit on Weegar and in their game last week, Weegar asked Byron if he wanted to fight, to which he obliged.

Byron was injured in the fight which led to many questioning the code and why he fought in the first place.

On Tuesday, Byron returned to the Montreal lineup for the first time since the fight and after the game, he talked about his choice to "follow the code."

He also commented on what he would do differently if faced with a similar situation in the future.
We're happy to see Byron returned to the lineup and the Canadiens need him now more than ever.  With two games to go, Montreal is tied with Columbus for the final wild card spot in the East.
