Jalen Ramsey made headlines across North America at the end of the summer after the Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback told Mina Kimes he could probably crack an NHL roster in short order with a bit of training in a feature for ESPN The Magazine.
As you can probably guess or even remember, NHL players weren’t very happy with Ramsey’s comments and some were even offended, but that didn’t make him change his mind one bit. On Saturday night, the 24-year-old was a special guest at the Nashville Predators’ home game against the Boston Bruins and he was joined by former NHLer Paul Bissonnette.
According to BizNasty, the 2017 Pro Bowler was in attendance because the Preds just locked him up to an eight-year, maximum contract.
With the Jags on their bye week and Fowler hailing from Smyrna, Tennessee, it was a no-brainer for Ramsey to go check out the local product, especially with the connection he recently made with PK Subban.
