Pau Gasol isn’t just Kobe Bryant’s longtime teammate. The two have often referred to each others as brothers, sharing a special relationship that lasted well after their playing days, and becoming close with each other’s families as well.
Gasol and his wife recently spent time with Vanessa Bryant and her daughters, and it’s absolutely heartwarming to see Gasol refer to the Bryants as his own family.
Over the years, Kobe and his family established a number of special relationships around the basketball world, and you can see that many of those bonds have only gotten stronger during what has obviously been a difficult year.
Star WNBA prospect Sabrina Ionescu, currently recovering from an ankle injury, has spent part of her rehab with the Bryant family after becoming close with Kobe and GiGi during her collegiate career. As always, it’s great to see that the basketball community has each other’s backs.
