Maroon 5 is playing the Super Bowl halftime show, and some fans aren’t that happy about it. With Classic Rock groups seeming to please the football demographic the most. With bands such as the Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, and The Who taking the stage over the past couple decades, newcomers to the show such as Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, and Katy Perry may not be as accepted into the football community.
Maroon 5 possibly falls into that latter group, with many complaining that they don’t suit the event. If simple bantering doesn’t suffice, maybe Maroon 5 detractors can turn to this severely awkward video of New England Patriots defensive end Deatrich Wise trying his best to seem like he knows the guys playing at his game.
