Patrik Laine is making fans across the world on and off the ice.

According to a report the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, Laine helped calm down a group of about 20 kids that felt scared because a drunk passenger on the plane started to act inappropriately.

Via Google Translate, French police officers were forced to remove the man from the plane shortly after it landed in Paris, France from Malaga, Spain. The plane was destined for Helsinki, Finland and was forced to make an abrupt, unexpected stop. One passenger spoke to IS about what happened exactly, and how Laine affected the situation.

"When we landed in Paris, and the French policemen took the trouble off, especially the kids were pretty upset.

"However, the look of many children became brighter when they found out Laine and realized that the world was not such a bad place when Lainek was riding.”

Another passenger mentioned that Laine started signing autographs and taking selfies with the kids. Some of the kids started to ignore the situation at hand and became to fixated on the fact that they were on the same plane as an NHL superstar.

One of the kids even had a Nashville Predators cap on, to which Laine joked was the wrong type of hat. The Jets defeated the Predators in seven games before bowing out to the Western Conference champion Vegas Golden Knights.

The plane reportedly was in France for about an hour before returning to Helinski. Laine was supposedly returning from a golfing trip, as he was spotted with a couple friends prior to takeoff holding golf clubs.
