Patrick Kane became the 90th player to score 1,000 points in the NHL, a special achievement that took him 953 games to achieve. He joins Eric Staal, Evgeni Malkin, Patrick Marleau, Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, and Joe Thornton as the only active players to have scored in quadruple digits in their NHL career.
Needless to say, it’s a pretty special accomplishment. Patrick Kane’s dad, also named Patrick, decided to honour his son in a very special way – with a sign at the Blackhawks morning skate around.
Get you a dad that goes out of his way to honour your accomplishments during PRACTICE. We talking ‘bout PRACTICE.
