Patrick Beverley had enough.
During the fourth quarter of Sunday night's Mavericks and Clippers game in Dallas, a Mavericks fan accused of heckling the Clippers point guard over his mother got Beverley ejected for throwing a bounce pass during a stoppage in play.
Beverley informed reporters that the well-known Mavs fan, Don Knobler, who sits courtside told him, "F--- your mother."
"I just, I can accept the 'F--- you, Beverley,' the 'F--- you, Pat,' but out of the lines of my mother, anybody who knows me, man, knows I'm a family-first guy, and there's some things that are unacceptable, said Beverley courtesy of ESPN.
"After I told the refs, I told security, the Dallas security, told both of them and again, he said it again. So if no one going to control fans, what are we supposed to do as players?"
The Mavs season ticket holder had a slightly different side of the story and denied issue a vulgar slur about Beverley's mother.
Earlier in the game, Beverley mistakingly knocked a tooth out of the mouth of Dennis Smith Jr. while battling for a loose ball.
Beverley spent five seasons playing in Texas for the Houston Rockets before being traded to Los Angeles in the Chris Paul trade.
The Mavs defeated the Clippers 114-110. Beverley had three points and four rebounds in 17 minutes of action prior to his ejection.
