So, it was a pretty exciting day for students of Runnymede Collegiate Institute in Toronto, wasn’t it?
Through the Right To Play non-profit program that supports children through sport, both Pascal Siakam and Bianca Andreescu made surprise visits to surprise students at the local high school.
It looks like Andreescu spoke on stage in front of students, while Siakam popped into some classes a few hours later.
Both athletes figure to have already had busy schedules, with Andreescu holding her press conference after being named this year’s Lou Marsh Trophy winner and Siakam having plenty of prep to do for Kawhi Leonard’s return to Toronto on Wednesday, but it’s great to see they can still take the time to surprise some students.
Siakam is also being followed by the NBA’s social media team today as part of their player all-access series, so he’s engaging with fans in Toronto as well as beyond today.
