The last time we saw Conor McGregor inside the octagon wasn't long ago, but it wasn't for a fight.

McGregor stormed the cage after a Bellator fight in what was a controversial moment to say the least (which he has since apologized for), but aside from that appearance, it's been just over a year since Conor's last UFC fight.

While there have been rumours in regards to when his return will be, at this point nobody can say with certainty when we'll see the champ back in the octagon, if that is indeed where he'll be fighting next.

The reason we say that is because on Thursday, Manny Pacquiao posted this picture on Instagram for no apparent reason other than to get the fight world talking:

Back in May, boxing promoter Bob Arum said that if Floyd Mayweather didn't fight McGregor, then Pacquiao would and based on this picture, he's still interested in doing that in 2018.

The tease got the fight world talking, but the reactions were mixed as a lot of fans want to see McGregor back in the UFC.
