Manny Machado joined the Baltimore Orioles when he was just 19-years-old and went on to spend seven years with the club before he was dealt to the Los Angeles Dodgers last July.

Now a member of the San Diego Padres after signing a whopping 10-year, $300 million contract this past offseason, Machado and the Padres opened up a two-game series in Baltimore on Tuesday night and there were plenty of Orioles fans happy to see the two-time Gold Glove Award winner back in town, even if he wasn’t rocking an O’s jersey.

A lot of Orioles fans showed up at the ballpark early in hopes of grabbing an autograph from Machado and to catch a glimpse of the four-time All-Star in the batting cage and that was just the beginning of the warm welcome back to town. In his first at-bat of the evening, Machado was greeted with a standing ovation and a loud applause.

Machado hit 162 home runs, drove in 471 runs and owned a .283 batting average and a .335 OBP in 560 games in an Orioles uniform from 2012-2018.
