Today, the NHL released some pretty snazzy Reverse Retro jerseys, and Canucks fans should be pretty psyched about the look that their team has gone with.

Pretty sweet, huh? We shouldn’t be surprised, though, because the Canucks are seriously underrated in terms of consistently bringing the heat when it comes to sweet jerseys while seamlessly integrating an occasional colour scheme change. How many teams can say that? The Flying V? Their sweet heritage classics from 2014? Their standard but steady blue and green scheme? Vancouver hockey fans have it pretty great in terms of solid jersey selection.

Last year was the team's 50th anniversary season, and they went went all-in for the celebration. One of the moves they made was releasing this slick third design, called their Heritage Jersey, which combined elements from the team’s original and current logos.

While fans loved this look, we don’t think it was the one they were most excited to see.

The Canucks held a fan vote to see which jerseys they should bring back, and the Flying Skate was the overwhelming winner. They wore the iconic jerseys three times last season, and today, it’s been exactly a year since they wore them for the first time at a home game versus the Avs.

How sweet are these?

The Canucks ended up losing this game in a 5-4 OT thriller where Nathan MacKinnon spoiled the Flying Skate party, but we bet Canucks fans and players would do just about anything to have a game like this on, no matter the outcome.

We can’t believe it’s already been a year, and we hope to see these beauties on the ice again!
