With the 2020-21 NHL season scheduled to start much later than usual with the Stanley Cup having just been won, it shifts around the whole landscape of hockey. Other leagues have already began, which has afforded players like Toronto Maple Leafs’ Denis Malgin the opportunity to stay sharp and play elsewhere.

For Malgin, that’s Lausanne HC of Switzerland’s National League.

The Swiss-born centre made his presence known early with the team, scoring a highlight reel goal in which he dangles his way between two defenders before depositing it into the net.

While we haven’t seen this from Malgin at the NHL level yet, it’s just good to see hockey again. He’ll reportedly be back for training camp when it commences.
