We’ve all heard of Gatorade showers. You know, pouring a jug of some good old lemon-lime over a person who made their mark on their team all in good fun.
Well that’s old news in Boise Idaho. Rookie-level mistake. The people in Idaho ride HARD.
French fry level hard.
Within the NCAA Famous Idaho Potato Bowl game, it has officially become a tradition to toss french fries over top of the winning coach.
During the bowl game between the Tulane Green Wave and the Nevada Wolf Pack, players from the Wolf Pack decided to toss a jug of fries over their coach, Jay Norvel’s head.
Oh and some classic Gatorade to wash it all down.
What makes it better? Knowing those fries were amazing and everything you could dream of being tossed all over you since they were from none other than McDonald’s.
Though things did take a bit of a turn for the worse. Even though the Wolf Pack led 38-20 over the Green Wave with 0:17 on the clock in the 4th quarter, they were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Because of french fries. On. The. Field.
We swear this would only happen in Idaho.
So after being set back 15-yards, Nevada still managed to pull through to the end and earned the dub with their side of ketchup, mustard, and all.
Just this past January, Ohio University players similarly doused their coach Frank Solich and to be honest, we want to see more of this.
