If you thought the NBA offseason couldn't get any crazier, it did on Monday night as DeMarcus Cousins signed with the Golden State Warriors.
The best team in the NBA will get even better when Cousins returns from injury as they'll have a starting lineup with an All-Star at every position. That fact isn't even the craziest part of the whole deal, though.
Cousins only signed a one-year deal with Golden State, but you won't believe what he signed for:
You're not seeing things. Cousins signed for just $5.3 million. He is coming off of an injury, so there is some risk, but not enough for one of the best players in the league to sign for that little.
If he wins a ring this season, it's all worth it though and that $5.3 million won't mean anything compared to how he'll feel after winning a championship.
