Wednesday was deadline day in MLB and there were a number of big names rumoured to be on the move heading into the day. Noah Syndergaard of the Mets was one of those names and despite all the talk surrounding "Thor," he remained in New York.
We can only assume it was a relief for the deadline to come and go for Syndergaard without being traded, but don't just take our assumption as truth, check out what his reaction on Instagram to not being dealt.
This popular scene from 'The Wolf of Wall Street' has been used by a few athletes recently (Klay Thompson, Anders Lee) to confirm their intentions to stay, or in this case confirm they won't be traded.
Syndergaard would have been a nice addition for teams looking to bolster their rotation, but by keeping him, the Mets have ensured their own staff will remain strong, especially with the recent addition of Marcus Stroman.
