Hockey players that willingly sacrifice their body to block a shot is part of the reason why they are viewed as the toughest athletes in the sports world.

It takes a ton of courage to step in front of a shot knowing it could hit you anywhere, including the face, and permanently damage you if it does end up hitting you in the face.

Monday night, Noah Juulsen of the Montreal Canadiens was on the receiving end of not one, but two pucks to the face in Montreal's game against Washington and both caught him by surprise as he wasn't exactly attempting to block either one of them.

The 21-year-old was obviously worse for ware, especially after the second puck to the face.

Juulsen obviously left the game and didn't return, and we hope to hear some good news on his condition Tuesday.
