Step right up hockey fans, it's time to play everyone's favourite game, "Goal or No Goal?"
In the third period of Game 2 between the Penguins and Capitals on Sunday, it looked like the Pens had scored to cut Washington's lead to one goal with a ton of time remaining.
The officials reviewed the play, though, and it was determined that the call on the ice stood and this was NOT a goal:

We're not even going to try and determine whether the correct call was made. Instead, we'll just leave you with reactions from the hockey world:Somehow, this is the best look we have pic.twitter.com/XkOtQ1iyPl

Look, I’m not professing to be a hockey expert. But if the puck is all the way past the red line and you see a sliver of white ice between the puck and the red line... how is that not a goal? #Penguins

“Can I copy your homework?”

“Yeah, just make sure you change it up a bit so it doesn’t look obvious you copied”
“Ok” pic.twitter.com/kO9BQWsa4y

Remember, whatever call is made on the ice for goal/no goal play...the video evidence has to be clear to reverse it. If it’s not clear, beyond a doubt, then the call will stand

No goal. I'm genuinely surprised.

"No definitive look" on the no goal call per the @nhl That's BS Doc and you know it @NHLonNBCSports #Pens
— Pens Den (@PensDen) April 29, 2018
Absolutely awful no goal call for the Penguins. Clear ice between the puck and the goal line means there’s a goal
— Campbell N (@Wcampbelln) April 29, 2018
"Looks to be in" NO GOAL!! #PensCaps @barstoolhrtland pic.twitter.com/umYL49vIJG

No goal. More than a little bit surprised with that one.
— Jason Mackey (@JMackeyPG) April 29, 2018
Somehow, both of these are no goals.

Yes, I'm still salty about the one on the right even though the Flames won that game. pic.twitter.com/29aHv10P6y
I think the Penguins might have been robbed on that no goal call.
— One Fans View (@OneFanView) April 29, 2018
.@NHLonNBCSports has clear pic that puck across line

The one on the left is a game winning overtime goal for the capitals in 2016. The one on the right was just waved off because there was no evidence it crossed the goal line pic.twitter.com/EFpBYHINBd

Good job @NHL. Ive seen it all now today against the @penguins. No goalie interference. No goal. I know theyre a good team but dont make them play the refs too!
