Nikolai Goldobin was selected in the first round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, but now he’s heading into his second KHL season after going back and forth between the NHL and AHL and stints in San Jose and Vancouver.
The 25-year-old is now in his second season with Magnitogorsk Metallurg after transferring to the club from CSKA Moscow last year and he scored a ridiculous one-handed goal during preseason action on Thursday.
Goldobin always produced at the AHL level when he was in North America, potting 71 goals and 104 assists for 175 points in 199 games, but only picked up 19 goals and 46 points in 127 NHL games. In his first KHL season he scored six goals and 19 points in 40 games.
