The Winnipeg Jets are off to a nice start to the season. They’ve beaten the Calgary Flames and the Ottawa Senators, while one losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Crunching the numbers real quick, beep boop bop, that brings them to a 2-1-0 record to start the season.

While there’s nothing strange about that, it gets a little odd when you pair it with this stat. Heading into Thursday’s rematch against the Sens, the Jets still had exactly 0:00 time where they’ve held a lead.

Yep, for every single game they’ve either trailed or been tied right up until the final moment of the game, literally. The first, against the Flames, was a Patrik Laine overtime winner against the Flames, while Nikolaj Ehlers scored the OT winner against the Sens.

When Ehlers scored in the 1st period of the Jets 4th game, that’s the first time they’d actually sustained a lead for any amount of time.

The Jets would go on to score (at least) three more consecutively and lead 4-0 midway through the 3rd. When you get a taste of a good thing, right guys?!
