After five seasons with the Colorado Avalanche, Nikita Zadorov is joining the Chicago Blackhawks by way of trade, and it sounds like he’s stoked to join his new team.

In fact, he sounds well-acquainted with playing in front of Blackhawks fans already, if this quote about fans at the Avs’ Pepsi Center is any indication. This definitely qualifies as a spicy little parting shot as Zadorov departs Colorado.

Sheesh. Zadorov might be hearing some boo-birds upon his return game in Colorado, that’s for sure.

The Blackhawks acquired Zadorov as well as Anton Lindholm in exchange for Brandon Saad and Dennis Gilbert, with Zadorov — previously a restricted free agent — signing a qualifying offer to play next season with the Blackhawks.

Brandon Saad is joining the Avalanche, while Nikita Zadorov heads to Chicago.
