Currently, the most destructive wildfire season in Australia’s recorded history is burning through millions of acres, resulting in hundreds of homes destroyed and at least 19 people killed.
With the Australian Open right around the corner, tennis star and Canberra native Nick Kyrgios is going to assist with relief efforts, and he’s convined some of his fellow Aussie tennis players to do the same.
For each ace he hits, Kyrgios is pledging $200 AUD, or about $140 in Canadian dollars. Alex de Minaur and John Millman will also join in on the initiative.
Furthermore, following the three players’ announcements, the ATP Cup has announced it will also make a donation for every ace served at ATP Cup events.
