Nick and Janelle Foligno were just three weeks into parenthood when they had to endure a very scary event. Born with a leaky heart valve, their daughter Milana had to undergo life-saving surgery to make the corrections. The procedure was a success, and the Foligno’s donated half a million dollars to the Boston Children’s Hospital out of appreciation.

Years later, Milana had to undergo another procedure, this time to replace a valve in her heart. Milana once again pulled through, and the oldest of three is now seven years old.

In response to the experiences, Janelle wrote a children’s book to document Milana’s journey. She took to Instagram to announce the special project.

Friday, Nick took to Instagram to congratulate his wife’s accomplishment.
