If you’ve followed along with the NHL’s “Puck Personality” segments over the last couple of months, you would’ve seen some fantastic content churned out onto the interwebs, like who has the worst tape job in hockey, the biggest pet peeves, and their go-to cereals.
Continuing with the theme of fun, light-hearted content, the series is back with a very important question: what is your favourite type of pet?
In the video, the NHL social producers gather up Jordan Eberle, Shayne Gostisberhere, Martin Jones, Dylan Larkin, Ryan Getzlaf, Vladimir Tarasenko, Mark Scheifele, Nathan MacKinnon, Tyler Johnson, Tanner Pearson, Patrick Kane, Chirs Tanev, Max Domi, T.J. Oshie, Johnny Gaudreau, Jonathan Drouin, Tuukka Rask, Jonathan Huberdeau, Connor McDavid, Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, Jack Eichel, Seth Jones, Erik Karlsson, Jamie Benn, Kevin Shattenkirk and last but not least the On.The.Bench boys on their go-to pet.
If it wasn’t obvious already based on the aforementioned players’ Instagram accounts featuring their furry friends, dogs came out as the overwhelming answer. Let’s have a watch.
A couple things to note. Patrick Kane doesn’t like pets? Does someone need to convert him, because how can you not like a man’s best friend? Perhaps Jonathan Toews is just too good of friends with Kane. Come on, Patty.
Poor Tuukka Rask, who’s allergic to cats, dogs, horses and cows.
And what about Jonathan Huberdeau’s loyalty to panthers. Can you even actually have a pet panther? Maybe he should just settle for a smaller, more friendly feline.
Why was Nazem Kadri and his pet cat, Jazzy, not included in this exercise?
