The Toronto Maple leafs have not won the Stanley Cup in a long time, ofcourse in their glory days they were always competitive and many of those years were with George Armstrong leading the way.
Nicknamed "The Chief," was the last player to captain the Maple leafs to a Stanley Cup championship!
Armstrong is mother is also Ojibway making him one of the only First Nations players to don the blue and white.
Many fans on twitter showed their respect to the Leafs legend.
RIP Mr. Armstrong you will be missed.
