Zdeno Chara is heading back to where he began his NHL career!
The Islanders announced on Saturday that Chara had agreed to terms on a one-year deal to re-join the team. The Isles drafted Chara 56th overall in 1996 before he was traded to the Sens in 2001.
Since it’s been 20 years you can only imagine how different Big Z looked back then. Following the announcement, a photo of him from his first time with the Isles started to go viral. Just look at the lettuce!!!
