This year's NHL 21 has added all kinds of famous new dekes and moves to the game, including Nikita Kucherov's no-move as well as the Michigan. Since Andrei Svechnikov became the first player to score the Michigan in the NHL, the move has experienced a new wave of popularity, so now gamers can try the move for themselves in-game.

That’s not all. This week, NHL 21 added the original Michigan goal-scorer, Mike Legg from the 1996 University of Michigan team, to the game as a playable character in the HUT mode.

Legg’s reaction to seeing himself score the Michigan in NHL 21 is just special.

This is a nice way to pay homage to the origins of the Michigan, and it must be cool for Legg who we’re sure didn’t expect to see himself alongside modern-day pros in a hockey video game.

Have you been able to pull off the Michigan in NHL 21 yet? It isn’t easy by any means, although for those who are still trying to figure it out, we have a step-by-step guide that might come in handy.
