When it comes to Canadians, many would agree that hockey is the greatest sport in the world. It has become ingrained in Canada’s identity, and it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. The one issue? Sometimes it can be hard to find a surface to play on.
Ice doesn’t just appear. You would either have to pay for ice time at a local arena, or possibly hit up one of the neighbourhood outdoor rinks and hope that it’s not overcrowded.
Another option may be on the way, an option that makes finding a surface to play on much, much easier.
Sled Dogs Snowskates have introduced a new type of footwear that could be classified as something in between a ski and a skate, and it allows for more nimble movement on the snow. 15-year NHL veteran teamed up with the company to promote the snowskates, and hockey on snow actually looks like it could be a pretty fun replacement if you aren’t able to lace up the skates for whatever reason.
What do you think? Would you be a threat on the snow the same way you are on the ice? Let us know @BarDown!
