So with the result of the draft lottery, one of these 16 teams could end up with the 1st overall pick.

East: MTL, NYR, FLA, CBJ, TOR, NYI, CAR, PIT.

West: CHI, ARZ, MIN, WPG, CGY, VAN, NSH, EDM.
