It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the Toronto Maple Leafs hit the ice, hasn’t it?
With Phase 2 of the NHL’s return-to-play protocol underway, players are able to use their team’s rinks once again while adhering to certain safety guidelines. On Thursday, Morgan Rielly and the Leafs made their return to the Ford Performance Centre.
This seems to be the first footage of an official Leafs skate since the season went on pause, and perhaps of any Leafs players on the ice at all since then.
While the NHL is still putting its plans together for the return of the season, the league did agree with the players’ union on a start date for training camps in Phase 3: July 10.
