Montreal fans react to Shea Weber potentially missing next season

I’m hearing the @CanadiensMTL won't protect Shea Weber for the expansion draft. Following the latest medical evaluations, he could miss all of next season. If not more.

Obviously Shea Weber won’t miss time only because of his thumb injury. He has some issues with a foot, ankle and a knee. So that’s why he won’t be protected for the expansion draft and you have to expect he’ll be out for a long period. @CanadiensMTL

Instead of finding his replacement and making light of the situation, lets direct that energy into sending Weber our FULL love and support. He’s our captain, our leader, and a FIERCE competitor who is obviously aching right now. STOP trying to replace him. He deserves better.

Montreal’s Shea Weber led them to the cup final with multiple broken bones and serious injuries, the extent of which could quite possible end his career. Amazing run and he deserves all the respect in the world as a captain and hockey player.
