Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews’ relationship with the Marleau family may have started as father-son jokes with Patrick, but it’s clear their connection goes well beyond jokes.
The way that Patrick has become a leader and mentor for the Leafs’ young stars, Auston and Mitch seem to have become role models for the kids in the Marleau family as well. Christina gave Patrick an adorable Father’s day shoutout where the whole family is doing the robot, but Marner noticed something special about Brody’s (One of Patrick and Christina’s sons) socks.

Either way, it’s easy to see the positive influence these players are having in each other’s lives and hopefully Mitch helps Brody get hooked up with a couple more pairs of socks.
