Just before the Toronto Maple Leafs get going in the NHL Playoffs, Mitch Marner is dropping some big news.

He’s now a part of the Overactive Media Ownership Group. AKA, he’s a part owner of the Toronto Ultra of the Call of Duty League and the Toronto Defiant of the Overwatch League.

It’s no secret that Mitch Marner is into gaming. Infact, he’s already been very involved with the Ultra, who just saw their first ever regular season come to end. And what a memorable ending it was.

The man who pulled off that tournament winning clutch was Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni. He and Mitch Marner have played Call of Duty together in the past and have built up a friendship over the past few months.

Amongst other games, Marner has also grinded Fortnite in the past alongside teammates Zach Hyman and Frederik Andersen.

Marner is an avid gamer so this partnership makes a lot of sense. Auston Matthews is already repping the Raptors in his bubble fits. Maybe we'll see Marner break out some Ultra or Defiant gear in the near future.
