Mitch Marner is one of the more creative players in the NHL and some would even go as far as to call him an artist on the ice – who knew he was an artist off of it too.
All hockey players seem to have some superstitions that they include in their game, but Marner’s might be the most wholesome we’ve ever seen. If you watch a lot of Leafs hockey, you may have noticed a little smudge on Mitch Marner’s glove at some point, but if you look a little closer it’s actually a smiley face.
Marner uses a winking face on one pair of his gloves and a regular smiley on his other to differentiate them. They also just remind his to smile.
Obviously, for a guy that is already pretty popular with his fans this is only going to endear him even more. It’s already happening all over Twitter.
