Afternoon games are a rarity in the NHL, but Thursday the Leafs hosted the Wild for a 2pm ET start and just one day after the All-Star rosters were announced, a big snub made an impact early.
Just 7 seconds into the game, Mitch Marner beat All-Star Devan Dubnyk with a backhand shot and the goal put him in rarified air that only one other Leaf is in.
Marner also added a second goal in the 1st period and made the fact that he wasn't chosen for the All-Star game even more ludicrous. (H/T: NHL Public Relations)
