The DeMar DeRozan trade was interesting on so many levels because of what reportedly happened leading up to the deal, the trade itself and the aftermath.
DeRozan said the Raptors told him he wouldn't be traded. He was then sent to San Antonio for Kawhi Leonard (and Danny Green) and as excited as Raptors fans were about their team acquiring a top-five player (when he's healthy), they were equally as upset about DeRozan being dealt. Plus, the way in which he was dealt was a harsh reminder that basketball is a business and loyalty takes a back seat to the business side of the game.
That's the deal in every sport, but DeRozan (and others) feel he was done wrong by the Raptors and you can't blame him for feeling that way. Milan Lucic of the Edmonton Oilers, however, doesn't think DeMar should be bitter about what transpired and he ripped apart the former Raptor on Barstool Sports' 'Spittin' Chiclets' Podcast:

If you're more of a reader, here's what Lucic had to say transcribed by CBS Sports:
"He's being a little bitter b***h at the organization for trading him for Kawhi Leonard — literally a top five player in the league,"
"When I hear him talk about the bitterness and the disrespect and all that type of stuff, it's like, you didn't get traded to frickin' Cleveland. You got traded to San Antonio, a team that competes for a title every year. You get to be coached by the Bill Belichick of basketball with Gregg Popovich. You feel like you're being disrespected? Come on man, you're still making $30 million a year living in San Antonio with no state tax. Give me a break, man. Nobody feels bad for you. F*** off."
Lucic and Ryan Whitney didn't hold back on this subject and they're not the only people that feel this way, but there are many that feel Masai Ujiri and the Raptors are in the wrong.
In the end, DeMar is in San Antonio and as much as he loves the Toronto fans and Canada, his relationship with Masai is over.
