Since retiring from professional hockey, former NHL defenceman Mike Commodore has emerged as one of the more candid and humorous follows on hockey Twitter.

A reoccurring guest on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast, Commodore pulls no punches when detailing his past run-ins with Mike Babcock, his entry into the world of becoming a "hockey insiderrrr," his #InOne clothing line with Sauce Hockey and his post-career endeavours such as working as a part-time Uber driver.

A veteran of 14 professional seasons, the now 39-year-old last played hockey in the 2013-14 season when he made the jump overseas to the KHL.

"Commie" guested on the most recent episode of the Jay and Dan Podcast where he retold the hilarious story of how he signed on with Vladivostok Admiral with the help of his former d-coach, Slava Festisov, on the New Jersey Devils.

"Oh Mischa, you a good guy. Okay, I'll get you a contract."

"Where is Vladivostok, I've never heard of this place before?," said Commodore after inking the deal.

Even though Commodore didn't know exactly Vladivostok Admiral was located, the fact that he was still game to play hockey in his mid-30's over in Russia shows you how much the former Devil, Blue Jacket, Flame, Hurricane, Senator, Red Wing and Bolt wanted to keep playing the game of hockey.

You can listen to the full interview with Commodore below where he details how he found out he was traded out of New Jersey, Jarome Iginla's retirement night and how he was the first to brake several trades at the NHL Trade Deadline.
