The wintery conditions that have blasted the mid-west and the Eastern parts of North America over the last few weeks has made its mark in various regards.

To combat the frigid weather, cities will deploy copious amounts of salt to melt the snow and ice. If you're forced to go outside, then you know how salt will stain on our shoes and boots.

Despite his first-class reporting skills,TSN's Mark Masters was caught wearing an unpolished set of dress shoes that victimized by the salt prior to the Leads and Red Wings game in Detroit on Friday night.

Let's just say Mike Babcock was unimpressed, but was a good sport about it.

Babs doesn't want to hear your excuses, Mark. Even though you're shoes won't be in any camera shots, give those shoes a polish, because we know Babcock has no qualms about calling out those who are unprepared.

As Andi Petrilllo pointed out, "if you're going to be a pro, you got to dress like a pro."

To all you aspiring broadcasters out there, make sure you're shoes are just as sharp looking as the rest of the suit before the camera starts recording.
