If you thought you couldn’t love Miguel Cabrera even more than you possibly do, we’re willing to bet we can change that with this story from Tuesday evening.
As the Los Angeles Angels were visiting Comerica Park for the first game of their series, not only were baseball fans able to soak in all the glory that is their star player Miguel Cabrera, but they had the pleasure to watch projected AL MVP Shohei Ohtani.
With Miggy’s 500th career home run being able to happen in literally any moment, being just one HR shy, he decided to partake in some lighthearted fun with the Angels powerhouse slugger.
As Ohtani reached first base following a down-the-middle single into centre field within the first inning, he had bent over to take off his leg guards when Miggy channelled his inner jokester and pulled Ohtani’s batting glove out of his pants pocket.
Catching Miggy in the act, Ohtani couldn’t help but smile as Cabrera bent over to pick up his other batting glove that had fallen on the ground.
You absolutely have to love Miggy after seeing this clip.
