Spring training is a time where baseball players get back in the groove of things and gear up for the upcoming season. It also presents a great time to catch up with teammates and wonder how their winter workouts went.

That is if you actually know your teammates’ names.

Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is entering 16th season in the bigs, and his 11th with the Detroit Tigres. Over the years, Miggy was interacted with over hundreds of different players. Whether it’s core pieces of the team, minor leaguers looking to crack the Opening Day roster, or hot shot prospects looking to catch the eye of the organization, it can be hard to keep track of all the players coming and going out of camp.

It’s why Cabrera has finally given up on trying to remember everyone’s name.

Thanks to Bleacher Report, we now know how Cabrera approaches a teammate when he’s unsure of their name.

“I say, ‘Hey, bro. What’s up, bro?”

"I've been here for 10 years and most of my teammates, I don't even know their names."

Faces, not names, right? Something tells us that his teammates probably don’t refer to Miggy as “bro.”

Out on the field, Cabrera shouldn’t have a problem considering everyone’s last name is on the back of their jerseys. But inside the clubhouse, when certain players don’t have locker stalls, you can understand where Miggy is coming from.
