Petr Mrzaek’s old Czech buddy Michal Jordan knows a thing or two about coming back from injury. Yes, that’s the correct spelling of his name and no, we’re not talking about the legendary basketball player.

Mrazek was on the wrong end of an ugly collision in his crease and is expected to miss a significant amount of time with an upper-body injury. Well, Jordan, who played all 79 games of his NHL career in Carolina before heading over to the KHL, wanted to remind his pal that injuries happen and everyone is capable of bouncing back from them. You might have seen this photo before but the dude brought back his spaghetti hand and this writer kind of feels like vomiting now.

DUDE! That just ain’t right. But hey, it is worth noting that Mrazek re-tweeted Jordan so at least he was a good sport about the whole thing? And you know what? Jordan isn’t the only one to make his way back from a brutal looking injury.

Yikes.

Mrazek was off to a hot start with a .955 save percentage through three games but if he requires surgery, there’s a good chance his year will be done. The 28-year-old is set to become a UFA this summer and hopefully he’s good by then… and hopefully Jordan will serve as some inspiration to get back to 100%!
